We were picked by the number one seed, Team 1626 (The Falcons). Who in turn picked 1568, another Rhode Island team. After a successful quarterfinals and semifinals, we got eliminated during the finals. However our alliance did extremely well during the finals, and went through some intense matches.

Team 121 is proud to present Rhode Warrior 10, our 12th championship robot. Students and adult mentors spent hundreds of hours designing, prototyping, and perfecting our final product, which is scheduled to compete in Boston Regionals and the FIRST National Championships in Atlanta.
Rhode Warrior 10 has several features that help it achieve the game. It features a completely rotational arm that can score from either the front or the back of the robot. Its gripper has the ability to rotate a tube for easier scoring. A special camera guides the robot towards the rack, and allows it to score "keepers" during the autonomous period. The fold down ramp is used to hold up one robot for an extra 30 points during the end of the match.
Rhode Warrior 10 will be making its debut at the Boston Regional on March 22nd. In fact, all three Rhode Island teams will competing at this meet. Check back for regular updates. In the meantime you can look at our photo gallery, from pictures of our build season.

On January 6th 2007 FIRST released their new game called Rack 'n' Roll. Rack 'n' Roll is another three vs. three game. The challenge is to score inner tubes on a center structure in rows. The center structure, called the "rack," is round and moves relatively freely upon impact. The rack consists of 24 "spider legs" that stick out forming eight columns and three rows around the circle. The robots must take swimming pool inner tubes and score them on these spider legs The tubes are worth two points each when placed on the rack and for each additional tube of you color in a line vertically or horizontally the score is multiplies to that power. There is also an autonomous mode at the beginning of match where robots can score tubes by using cameras to see the lights above the rack. Also, at the end of the match, points can be scored by elevating a partners robot in the home zone.
